Chiropractic for babies and kids

Dr. Hannah is passionate about looking after little ones! She has done extra study in paediatrics so your bubs, kids and teens are in good hands. The goal of chiropractic care is to remove any interference from the spine and nervous system that may impact a child’s growth and development. The techniques we use for kids are very gentle and low force.

Some of the reasons parents may choose to get their kids adjusted include:

·      To maximise brain and spinal development

·      To enhance overall health and wellbeing

·      To improve spinal posture

·      To improve a child’s ability to concentrate

·      To offer greater emotional wellbeing

·      To improve their sleep

Chiropractic and Pregnancy

Dr. Hannah loves looking after women throughout their pregnancy. We have pregnancy pillows available in the practice specific to your trimester to ensure you are comfortable.  We use gentle, precise techniques for all stages of your pregnancy.

Some of the common reasons women may see a chiropractor during their pregnancy include:

· Lower back pain

· Hip/ pelvic/ sacroiliac pain

· Optimal foetal positioning

· Cramping and tight muscles

· Optimal nervous system function for mum and bub

There are many structural and physiological changes that happen in a woman’s body throughout her pregnancy. Adaptions within the body are taking place to compensate for the growing baby, and many hormonal changes result in changes to ligaments. The aim of chiropractic care during this time is to maintain optimal alignment through the lower back, hips, pelvis and entire spine- with the goal of preventing interuterine constraint on your growing baby, sending better nerve flow to the pelvic floor muscles in preparation for labour, and allowing you to have a more comfortable pregnancy.
